Gaming for prolonged periods of time can cause heat to build up within your case, so ASUS designed the ROG MAXIMUS Z690 HERO to leverage multiple thermal solutions that efficiently dissipate heat. A VRM heatsink with an integrated aluminum I/O cover, high-conductivity thermal pad, triple M.2 heatsinks with embedded backplates, and ROG Water-Cooling Zone all work together to ensure your components stay cool. ASUS HYDRANODE allows you to connect up to a total of three fans to a single header for greater cooling support.

SafeDIMM adds a metal divider on the RAM slots for safer installation of memory modules. SafeSlot fortifies your PCIe 5.0 slot with a metal reinforcement for stronger retention designed to support heavier graphics cards.
